1. The diameter of the flow selection valve is determined based on the flow rate of the pneumatic actuator under working pressure. Currently, domestic manufacturers express the valve flow rate using either free air flow rate (ANR) or air flow rate under pressure (typically at a working pressure of 0.5 MPa). There are various ways to express valve flow rate parameters on the market, and the pipe thread of the valve does not represent its diameter. |
The flow rate of the selected valve should be slightly greater than the flow rate required by the system. Signal valves (such as manual valves) are selected based on their distance from the controlled valve, quantity, and response time requirements. Generally, for centralized control or situations where the distance is within 20 meters, a 3mm diameter valve can be selected; for situations where the distance is more than 20 meters or there are a large number of controls, a 6mm diameter valve can be selected. |
2. According to the working requirements of the pneumatic automation system, select the function and control mode of the valve, including the number of positions, the number of paths, the memory function, and the on-off state during standstill. Valves with functions similar to those required should be selected as much as possible. If such valves are not available, other valves or a combination of several valves can be used.
